I know it's been a WHILE since I posted, but life has been sooo hectic lately!...let's see...what all has happened....
The Monday after my last post I got a job offer for a promotion within my company. It comes from a different department, which I'm glad for, I was ready for a change! And as "promotion" gives away...it's got a new title (I'm a 2 instead of a 1), and a nice pay raise. YAY! I started the new job yesterday. I think I'm really going to like it! Granted part of the "like it" right now, is because it's "new."
So the 2 weeks after that I spent very busily wrapping up everything outstanding in the Cash department, so I could move to Property. So while I used to have extra time at work that I could write a blog entry, I've been too busy these past 2 weeks to stop and write.
The marriage retreat was GREAT! I wish all the married couple's I know could have gone! Maybe next year, the couples that did go, and us, can convince the others to go, cause it was fun! It was also very informative. Like I said on my comments at the end...I went into the retreat thinking my marriage was GREAT (cause I have a WONDERFUL husband), but I learned some things that we can do to make it better. Anway - if you can go next year (it's the same weekend next year), it's worth it.
This past weekend I was working on a paper...my Computer Law class is a "writing" class...the final paper has to be 20-30 pages...I thought I had more of the research done than I really did, so Saturday only got 2 1/2 pages written (after doing research all day). Spent Sunday afternoon writing and then Sunday night writing...worked till 1AMish...and crashed...had about 12 pages done.
My sweet wonderful husband had to do another sleep study Sunday night...and I turned into a big chicken! The house makes lots of noises, and when you're there alone it was creepy! I told a friend "if the boogy man attacked me, no one would know"...in an apartment neighbors are VERY close, and hear EVERYTHING. I know - I'm a big weenie! So I called a girlfriend to come over and stay when she got off work. I felt better just knowing someone else was in the house...
Tonight I'm sitting in class...been a busy week so far...I'm never at my desk at work cause I'm learning from other people at their desks...btw, for those who are looking for me on AIM, you won't find me. I'm trying to abide by the rules (for now)...and not install it on the new (to me) computer at work, so if you want to talk to me - e-mail me, and we can chat that way (when I'm at my desk). Granted eventually I'll be at my desk more...
Ok - better start paying attention again in class...well...paying closer attention...
Ta-ta for now...
I'm 37. Married to a wonderful man. Have 2 beautiful children 5 & 1. I stay home and homeschool my oldest, which is by far the best job I've EVER had!

wow it's been 2 weeks!
AHHH - TWO WHOLE WEEKS!!!
LOL - ok - silly picture so you know I'm alive...and see - I have gum in my mouth!
I know my biggest fans are probably dying without my inspiring ramblings of the happenings in my life! LOL! It's hard to believe it's been 2 weeks - time flies when your busy! I know that's not how the saying goes, but it's still true!
I have company coming tonight...my favorite red head and her family are coming up. Her 3-year-old has a Dr's appointment at Children's Hospital up here tomorrow, so they are coming up tonight for that. I'm excited...I get time to love on her new baby, and play some with the 3-year-old...and visit with mommy and daddy too! :-) It's neat how it worked out, their appointment happens to put them coming up the one night out of the week that I don' t have class! YAY! Also, fortunately, my 2nd class last night was canceled, so I was able to get some of my homework for tomorrow done last night, so I'll be able to visit more tonight! YAY!
This weekend, I get to go to Funroe...I'm excited...while it's for work...helping a friend move...it's still with my friends, so it'll be fun! It'll also be more fun than our move, cause I'm not in charge...I don't have to worry about being asked 100 times where to put what, or what to move next...I'm just a worker bee!
School has been going pretty well...nothing exciting to say about it though, so I won't ramble about that too much...
One of my friends has started seeing a new fella...and I got to meet him this past weekend...he seems like a really nice guy...so far as ya can tell from dinner and a round of putt putt! Their personalities seem to match better than anyone I've known her to date. Granted I refuse to give my final stamp of approval on the first meeting...by the 3rd time I've been around him I'll be able to say for sure I think...Granted with all that's going on...that could be a while before we get that many encounters!
Next weekend is the marriage retreat that the family pastor from my church in Monroe, and his wife put on. We're going to it, as are a couple of couples that are good friends of our, so we're looking forward to that...granted my sweet wonderful husband has grumbled just a little cause it's opening weekend of muzzle-loading season...He'll survive though. He said it's not as bad as it could be cause he'd really rather shoot a deer with a bow this season, if he can. This past weekend he went bow hunting, and saw one little Bambi...he said he's seen dogs bigger than this deer, so he didn't shoot it, and the mama never came out (it looked young enough for mama to be close by).
Well it IS day 3 of close, so I better get back to work...got several things to do still, and I'm hoping to get outta here on time tonight, since I do have company coming! But hey - they are bringing in lunch - YUMMY - for some reason free lunch always tastes better than something I cooked, or bought! LOL!
Ta-ta for now!
I'll try to get back here before 2 weeks pass! LOL!
