Updates and Junk

So...how's everyone's week gone?

Mine's been pretty good...

I miss you people like crazy!! (those of you I know - anyone I don't know - I don't know you to miss you!)

I got to see the my favorite red head and her family this week...her little man was getting his traech out...that went GREAT! They were expecting 2 nights in the hospital, and they were able to do it in one! The little lady was cute as ever...

I'm ready for school to be over...but I'm considering taking a class this summer...so I'll only have 2 weeks completely off...if I take a summer class it'll only be 2 nights a week though, so it won't be as bad...and will make my Spring semester MUCH better....

We planted 3 rose bushes about a month or 2 ago...supposed to be 2 white and one red....one of the white ones has bloomed...the flower is pink...the other 2 haven't bloomed...at least it's pretty, even if it's not what we were expecting...

I bought 3 pair of shoes last night at Spend More (Payless)...1 brown...1 black...(sandals)....and a pair of hot pink crocks...the hot pink crocks are my favorite - they are the most comfortable shoes in the world...Justin thinks they are ugly though! LOL

OH wait - gotta tell you about the funniest thing I"ve seen in a long time...was driving to work today...a little late cause had a permanent crown put on - (sounds like I'm a true princess! LOL - talking tooth crown though)...and in one of the "strip malls"...there's a Caldwell banker...Curves (a women's gym for those who might not know)...and a Larry's Pizza....there was nothing in front of any of them except the Curves...parked in front of curves....the Ice cream truck!!! LOL!...I didn't think about my digital camera in my purse till it was too late, but I found that to be hilarious!...Ok - now back to work...

Goings on...

So...it's been a while...how are you? ... :-)

I'm ok...busy...and will be pretty much until May 18th (which is the last day for finals!).

I'm sitting in Bankruptcy class...he reads us the code...how stimulating...and with the new legislative actions in Bankruptcy, he doesn't really understand all the new changes, so he's confused while teaching us...and he's a judge...yikes! We've had 2 people come to class to enlighten us on "the form" and then tells us that "the form" isn't going to be on the exam...uhhh...hello...then why have so many people tell us about it???

I've been contemplating life after graduation...YIKES...hard to believe in a year I'll be finishing up my LAST semester in school!!! Holy smokes... Anyway...been thinking about what I can/want to do... I want to "make a difference" in the world with my law degree and I don't see corporate accounting....and after school...corporate law...doing that... The family law class I had, had me considering Adoption law...still considering my options....the bankruptcy class has me considering this segment of law...and in my Estate Planning class there was a bank trustee that came in and spoke, and his talk has me seriously considering that (that would be a non-traditional legal job)...how do I decide....? I know...I know...God will show me the way...but I have to worry about it some don't I? ;-) I fall back on how he showed me what to do with my undergrad degree...kinda fell in my lap, so I knew it was a God thing! And I know He's the one who put the desire in my heart for school...so it'll all work out...I'm just anxious to know how!

I miss people! I've been struggling with missing people lately...particularly Monroe people, simply because the last trip was absolutely fabulous...I got to see all but one family (college pastors family)...and got to go to my old church...got to see my family...and my sis-in-laws family...and...well...it was just great...*sigh*...I know it'll never be like it was...but I do miss those times...granted I'd want my sweet wonderful husband AND "the good ole days"...and those 2 have never been together on a permanent term...

Ok - well I'm reminiscing when I should be paying attention in class...granted I probably should also be taking notes instead of typing on here...but hey...at least he doesn't know what I'm typing isn't about what he's talking about.

Going back to the dentist next Thursday...will get the temp crown replaced with a permanent one...that'll be a good thing, cause I'm tired of the temp one...it doesn't fit right...the assistant told me the permanent one will fit better!

My favorite red-head is coming up next week...with her family...her son is getting his traech(sp?) out(assuming all goes well). I'm so excited...for the son getting it (that way I don't have to spell it) out...and for me...cause I get to see all of them! Pray for him that all will go well...and for mom & dad...and just for the whole situation!

9 days off work and school!

Wow! It was soo nice! Today has been the longest day in the world though!!! I had a midterm due today - it was given to us a month ago, but no - I have never changed - I was up till 2AM working on it...it is finished though...it made it even harder to focus at work today - been off 9 days and then go back to work on about 4 hours of sleep!

I got to see my peoples this week...it was a good week...it was long, and short at the same time...long cause I got to do so much...short cause I went almost non-stop so the time kinda flew. Friday night....well really Saturday morning around 4:45 my brother and sis-in-law arrived! Saturday morning alarm went off at 6...actually got up around 7:30...got ready and headed to Funroe...helped friends move...and had a good time...Sunday got up and was able to attend RRBC - it felt like "home" again...granted it helped that our row was full (G&G on one side...R&R on the other...Mom & Dad B behind us...my favorite redhead playing keyboard...her brother Mr. N on the guitar...D on the Drums...I got a little "va-klempt" at one point! I miss those days! Granted my life is great, so I'm happy...but those days were sweet!...Sunday for lunch went to eat with the big group, and My Sister-in-laws parents and grandmother...spent about 2 1/2 hrs at that "restaurant" went to the "new" house, and about 20 minutes later my parents called to find out where we wanted to go to dinner...it felt like we had just eaten...so went to get coffee, and visit, then ate Italian in WM...Aunt P joined us...it was a good visit...then rounded up our stuff...and attempted to head out - it was late when we got back to LR! Whirlwind visit, but a good visit!

Monday we slept in and watched movies...then ran around town some...ate Japanese in NLR, which was yummy, got to see L at dinner, and one of my classmates got to meet part of the group...Tuesday...we went to the place that my wedding pics were taken...then went to eat dinner at a fabulous restaurant...first time for everyone except LJ...it was a carnivorous dream place! It was pricey though - but VERY good (we'd skipped lunch to prepare for it!)...G&G left Wednesday around "early lunch time" 11ish...and I went home and snoozed a bit...kinda bummed around a bit...Thursday got up and registered the boat...that took forever...and then packed for us to go out of town for the "weekend" (Thurs night till Sat lunchtime)...went to Branson...had a good time...just getting away with my sweet wonderful husband...relaxing for a few days before the downward spiral into finals begins...

Last night I had to write my mid-term for my bankruptcy class...got to bed around 2:30AM...and had to get up and go to work...after 9 days off work...and it was day 1 of close - *sigh* it's been a long day!!

So do you feel caught up? You should, cause I think I've covered it all now...I'm sitting in class now...and have about 30 more minutes...

Now I'm outta things to write about *sigh*...you should entertain me now! :-) Ok - I guess I'll just quit here for now, and pay close attention during the last little bit of class..
