I am trying to eat some carrots, with salad dressing...and I keep dropping them...*sigh*...at least it's a healthy snack! I was looking at the pictures of my beautiful new house, and realized it's been a week since I posted...so to keep the whinners quiet *snicker*...here ya go...something new to read! Granted the 2 that mention to me that I haven't updated, don't have a blog...so they need to get one too! (you both know who you are!!) No excuses...and it' easy to set up! Get to it...that's your assignment for today! (click the grey B at the top and sign up for one...then come back here, comment, and leave me the link to you page!)... Ya know - it's weird...I apparently have some adoring fans, but none of them ever leave comments...you should be ashamed!! Post your comments...
Ok - that rant is over...just a weird tangent I was on for a few minutes...
So what's gone on in my life in the past week...? uhh... Last weekend I had company - it was tons of fun...their almost 3 year old is pretty funny! Oh yeah, and the parents are ok too! LOL! Just kidding! I love all 3 and 1/2 of them!) Too bad BOTH sets of camera batteries were dead...I don't have ANY pictures from the weekend! Oh well! We went to eat at Shotgun Dan's (pizza place - yummy!)...then went to Gander Mountain (Think Bass pro shop, but just hunting and fishing)...I think that's about all for Friday evening...Saturday we went to show them where the house is, and then went to eat at my FAVORITE steak house (in LR), which is pretty close to the new house - YAY!. Then we went to the mall to Build-A-Bear to get the stuffed friends some new clothes...Odie got some new Spider Man PJ's! He was very happy about that when we got home! ;-) . We met up with another couple friend who live up here, and had TCBY...then home and watched several episodes of Dukes of Hazard...then to Tia's for dinner...then went to play Putt Putt (which was fun...but HOT!). Sunday we got up for church, then went to Johnny Carino's for Italian for lunch...went home for the baby to get a nap (my husband was the only one to sleep LOL!). Then went back to Johnny Carino's for dessert! (yeah - it was a low fat weekend - LOL!) Then back to the apartment to watch "The Pacifier" - VERY good movie!
This week so far...Monday was very stressful...my sis-in-law that lives here had to have some "minor" surgery...but with how bad her health is, it wasn't that minor. In doing the Pre-Op they discovered she had some heart damage, signs of a heart-attack. Not to mention she weighs about 80 pounds.... Fortunately everything went ok, and she's home now... Monday night I had a Mary Kay Facial at an apartment across from ours...it was fun...and nice to meet someone who lives there (now that we're moving out - LOL!). Let's see Tuesday we had dinner with a friend from school and her son...that was fun...then went home and watched "Man of the House"...Good movie! Wednesday was church...then vegged on the couch for a bit. Tonight we get to clean up for the parents coming in this weekend (it's not that bad since we had company this past weekend!), and start packing to move! We're going to start early, and hopefully have it all done before school starts, so when moving day comes all we have is the minor things we use daily, and everything else is in boxes.
Ok - back to work for now...You're caught up...I look forward to reading YOUR posts! ;-)
I'm 37. Married to a wonderful man. Have 2 beautiful children 5 & 1. I stay home and homeschool my oldest, which is by far the best job I've EVER had!

The front view of the house (duh!)
The view as you walk in the front door.
Standing in the living room looking at the dining room and kitchen.
The dining room, and yes it's purple (but it's not that bad...I like it!)
The kitchen...yes - still purple...
master bed room - yes it's a pale pink...
back to the living room (the door is the master bed room)...
master bath (it's maroon and dark green)
the rest of the master bath...

the weekend....
Woohoo...3 posts in 7 days...aren't you proud? ;-)
I wanted to tell what I did this weekend...
Friday night we went out to eat, and then went to my in-laws to get stuff to go fishing...then Saturday morning we went fishing! YAY! It was fun! We rented a boat (one to paddle - all the ones with motors had been rented out). My sweet wonderful husband did most of the paddling! Woo hoo! Granted on the way back we were trying to beat a storm, so we took turns paddling!
When we got back to town, we cleaned up and went to buy me a present!
ya like?
I do!
It's a Ruger 357 Revolver
My sweet wonderful husband was surprised at how well I could shoot! I've told him before that I was in ROTC and had shot before, not to mention shooting friends guns in the past. He was basing it on how I shot my brothers gun, which dropped at a distance.
I haven't shot the 357's yet, but it also shoots 38's and I like those! We were on an indoor range and the boom for the 357's hurt my ears, and I didn't like it (when he shot them)! I promised I'd shoot it with 357's when we went out to the outdoor range where there was less echo!
Then Saturday night We watched a couple of borrowed movies. We watched "Terminal" and "The Highlander," both good movies. We've had several to watch, but haven't had time to watch them with all the house hunting. Oh the one that we were going to make an offer on had a contract already, so that was out. I'm ok with that though! There were 2 new listings today when I looked, so we'll go look at those, and see if one of them suits us better! I have faith that God has closed the doors on these last 2 we liked because he has something great in store for us, that either hasn't come on the market, or we haven't seen it or something!
Ok - well better wrap up as it's time to go home, and if it's not raining we're going fishing again tonight! YAY!

don't wanna...
I don't wanna work...so I'm taking a break...I've worked really hard almost ALL week...very little "playing" at work this week, but today I need a break! :-)
I've been listening to Beauty & The Beast Broadway Soundtrack! YAY! I've been wanting it since I got back from NYC the first time, and had seen it on Broadway! The music is fabulous! It's making me miss the good 'ole band nerd days! *sigh*
This week has been a week of blasts from the past! It's been kinda weird. I have a college friend who got married I think it was last summer (after me) and moved to Oklahoma where her husband took a job as youth pastor there...I forwarded her something, and she e-mailed back a nice long e-mail about what's going on in her life. Also my best friend from my high school days (a guy) is apparently back in Alex, and got in touch with my parents...I haven't had a chance to call him yet, but I intend to. At first my sweet wonderful husband wasn't too cool with the idea of me calling another guy, but I told him I'd talk to him in front of him (nothing to hide), and even invite him up, so they can meet! It's weird that they haven't met yet, but I lost track of the Alex guy, so I couldn't do anything. I tried to invite him to our wedding, but after 3 calls to his parents house to try to get an address, all while going to school...it just didn't happen!
We went looking at houses again last night...I think we're going to make an offer on one of the 2 we looked at last night. It was the 2nd time we went to look at it, and we both really like it...the biggest noticeable problem (with a close look) is that the carpet in the living room and dining room needs to be replaced and we're leaning towards the wood lamanent with a big area rug. I don't like carpet everywhere because it's so bad for allergies, but my husband doesn't want just hard floors, so an area rug is a compromise.
Oh to make a certain friend jealous - I'm having "Tommy-toes" for a snack! YUM!! and I have more at home...got 2 FULL ziplock bags from my father-in-law, and I'm still working on them.
This weekend my sweet wonderful husband and I are going to go fishing...YAY! I'm excited, and I KNOW he is too...as soon as I suggested it, he started planning for it (he's such a planner and I'm so not!), but it was non-stop chatter about it. To avoid the problems with the "family" boat, we're just going to rent one when we get where we're going. He said it'd only cost like $25 and that's worth it not to have the issues!
Well - I think I might have run outta things for now...better get back to work...
Bye for now - have a wonderful weekend!

once a week...?
Ok so it's looking like I"m gonna post about once a week...who knows...I'll post when I have time, or don't feel like working. This is one of the "don't feel like working" times, so this might not be all that long...we'll see!
Well we didn't get the house we had made an offer on...there's something strange with the whole thing, so we're ok with being done with it, and moving on. We've got a few others we want to look at...one we've looked at before, but we're gonna go back and look at again (as the price has gone down)
We went to the mortgage company for pre-approval Friday...that was rather uneventful, except the guy we had talked to about pre-qualification (that we thought was extremely strange), was there...it was a little awkward, but either he didn't wanna talk to us, or he didn't remember, so it wasn't a big deal... Then we headed out to Funroe right after. We got there around 9ish, and I went to help get everything ready for the baby shower. It turned out really good (in my personal opinion - which is of course the main one that counts) granted the mommy-to-be said she enjoyed it too, so I think it's safe to say it was a good shower! Then we had the men come in and eat some of the left over food. Then the men went shopping, and the women stayed "home" and chatted, and ended up watching "Tarzan." I had never seen the Disney version of that, so I really enjoyed it. Granted it was put on for one of the almost 3 year olds to watch. When the men got home we teased them about shopping like a bunch of old women...LOL...they started out planning to go to the sporting goods stores, and ended up at Lifeway. We went to eat Vietnamese food for dinner before we left town...it was ok...not my favorite...but not the worst thing I've ever eaten either. Then headed outta town. We got home late! We intended to get up in time for church Sunday, but the long weekend got to us, and we didn't get up till noon! So we took our time getting ready, grabbed some lunch, and headed out to house hunt. Ended up missing evening service too (I know we're a bunch of heathens), and had dinner with A&M at the Bistro.
Yesterday was my now 9 year old nephew's birthday party. It was at Chuck E Cheese across the highway from us. We couldn't come up with what to get him, so we got him a gift card to Wally so he could go pick something out himself! He was happy with that! We played the games and such - it was fun! The last time we were there was for the same nephew's 7th b'day party! It's fun to pretend to be a kid again! I hated that his mother couldn't be at the party...apparently she was sick again...this is the 2nd of his birthday party's she's missed (she missed last years too).
My sweet wonderful husband is on overtime again...*sigh*...We both like the extra money he gets, but him getting up so early...and he of course can't just get up...he's gotta "snuggle" (read pester if I'm still asleep) with me before he gets up. I don't get irritated because I know he's just trying to be sweet, but I'm tired because of it. Oh well - hopefully it won't be too much longer now. The guy he works with that he can't seem to get along with told them yesterday that he's quitting...Yay! Actually it's a good thing both for him and for the company they work for. It seems this guy has the worst production scores, and just flat out doesn't do things that he should! And he's gotten a job as a fire-fighter, which is what he wants to be when he grows up. The main reason I think he's still had a job at the company they work for, is because he's the owner's nephew! So it appears that my sweet wonderful husband might actually like his job again! We'll see though!
Ok well I've wasted enough time, and I'm about outta things to say (for now), so I'd better get back to work...
later!.....
edit: apparently I can't type today either... ;-)

the past week
ok...so I haven't posted in the past week...guess I could catch up on what's been going on...
Last Tuesday we got to go see the house I mentioned in my last post, and 2 people had made an offer on the house, and another was wanting to, so that ruled that out rather quick...granted we did go see the house, and it was rather nice! My sweet wonderful husband was rather bummed. Then Aunt M told us of another house...that as of our first outing was pending a sale, but by Tuesday had fallen through. That house was nice, and was asking less for it. Woo hoo! So we made an offer that night! They had till Thursday to accept or reject....they counter offered...so we counter offered that... Come to find out the house is being foreclosed on, and we're dealing with a bank. They didn't like the offer Friday, so we had to wait through the weekend before we could offer again today. We should know by tomorrow afternoon if we're gonna get it or not. I'm ok with it either way... Granted lots of things have gone in such a way, that I think this is what God has for us, but if it's not, then it means He has something even better, so that'll be great too!
We had friends up this weekend...YAY! We had a blast! Went to Blanchard Springs Caverns and toured the cave, and then went to swim in the stream. The 6 year old was verry impressed with being UNDERGROUND!!! Then Sunday we went swimming at a friends parent's pool. Monday did a little shopping and the guests went home. It's always sad to me when they leave, but the good thing is I'll see them this coming weekend!!
This weekend, I'll get to go to Funroe! Yay! I'm co-giving a baby shower for a friend! If we get the house, it'll probably be just me going down Friday morning, and leaving Saturday after the shower... cause if we get the house, we'll have less than 15 days to close! (and we have to pack and stuff!) If we don't, then we'll both come down, and enjoy a weekend away! It's all up in the air still!
Well - it's getting close to quitting time, so I better get off here, so I can go home! Hopefully my husband will be home when I get there (he had the day off, and has been out at his parents house working in the back field). (I'd have spent the day being a bum or playing - he's so 'sponsible...wait not really...working in the field is like play for him!). Anyway - still getting off here for now...
Don't miss me too much!
